I am writing to update you on the situation regarding coronavirus (covid-19) and Oxmarket Gallery.

As you would expect, we have been monitoring the Covid-19 outbreak very closely and been assessing its potential impact on our community, visitors and artists. The situation has been fast moving, and we will continue to monitor the advice from the government and Public Health England, updating our plans accordingly. Further to the Government announcement on Friday evening, we regret to inform you that Oxmarket Gallery will be closed ‪from Tuesday 24 March until further notice.

We will continue to work up our plans for our summer season including the Philip Jackson exhibition in October. We are well set up to work remotely and are taking bookings by email (info@oxmarket.com) and phone (01243 779103). We anticipate that once this disruption is over our artists will have built up an even greater stock of original works to exhibit and sell and that we will enjoy a strong return to exciting exhibitions. We have always been wonderfully supported by our volunteers, artists, Friends and Members. We are deeply saddened to have had to close. For now it is the right and only thing to do.
