26 February – 10 March
A collection of paintings by Mark Weston inspired by Sussex and Cornwall reflecting the changing seasons and light.
The more subtle colours of the Sussex coast and South Downs, contrasting with the dramatic and vibrant colours of the north coast of Cornwall. Mark has drawn and painted since childhood, and studied art in the late nineteen seventies and early eighties. Now painting largely in acrylic, ( but also in oil, and watercolour and ink ), colour is the common element in much of the work.
Living in Littlehampton, the local beach is always a source of inspiration, as of course, is the nearby South Downs National Park.
This will be Mark’s third one man show at the Oxmarket, having exhibited in a number of venues across the South and in Cornwall.
