We work by charging an exhibition fee for each of our spaces. The Oxmarket handles all sales through reception and a modest 20% handling charge will apply. When making a provisional enquiry – whether you have exhibited with us before or not (solo or group), the first step is to submit a selection of images or an exhibition proposal to our Selection Panel via email and we will respond as soon as possible.
Providing us with as much information as possible on your work – such as the medium you are using, the scale of your work and your intentions for mounting and framing the work is useful. An indication of how many works you would intend to exhibit and how representative of the full range your examples actually are will also help your application. Groups and societies must all apply each year regardless of whether you hold annual exhibitions or not. The Oxmarket cannot automatically save slots for exhibitors each year.
Our Gallery Manager can help with everything from how to reduce your costs by being a part of a group exhibition through to installing your work, marketing your exhibition and organising a private view. We often interview for our Newsletter, and can give advice on how to gain publicity in our excellent local paper, the Chichester Observer.
There is only one drawback – we are very popular and we are normally booked at between six months and a year ahead.
