The Oxmarket will be taking bookings for exhibition space in 2018 from Friday 31st March 10am (Oxmarket Members & Friends who pay an annual subscription) and Friday 7th April 10am (general public.)
We work by charging an exhibition fee for each of our spaces. The Oxmarket handles all sales through reception and a very modest 15% handling charge will apply. If you’ve not exhibited with us before the first step is to submit a selection of images to our Selection Panel via email and we will aim to respond within a week. Please provide us with information on your work such as the medium you are using, the scale of your work and your intentions for mounting and framing the work. An indication of how many works you would intend to exhibit and how representative of the full range your examples actually are will also help your application.
Our administrators can help with everything from how to reduce your costs by being a part of a group exhibition through to displaying your work and talking about yourself on our website and organising a private view. We often interview for our Newsletter, and can give advice on how to gain publicity in our excellent local paper, the Chichester Observer.
There is only one drawback – we are very popular and we are normally booked at between six months and a year ahead. But that can be a bonus – you’ll have time to finish that next piece of work you have in mind!
